Express.co.uk spoke exclusively to Tipper Lewis, Neal’s Yard Remedies Brand Ambassador about the best skincare routine to help fight signs of ageing.

Tipper said: “Our skin changes over time. Being out in the sun, the way we sleep, and our daily facial movements affect how our skin looks and behaves as we get older. That’s why having the right skincare routine for your age can help nourish your skin at every stage of your life, keeping it looking healthy and radiant.

“The truth is, many of us stick to our tried-and-tested skin routines because we’re reluctant to step away from our favourite skincare products. But what worked for you in your 20s may not be suitable for your 30s and beyond.”

The expert added: “Ageing doesn’t mean you can’t have healthy, glowing skin. By adapting your skincare routine to suit your age, you can leave it feeling soft, supple, and ready to tackle whatever life throws at you.

“When you reach your 30s, collagen and elastin production slows down. You may notice that fine lines and wrinkles begin to appear, and your skin doesn’t bounce back quite as well as it did in your 20s.

“While your 20s skincare products will still be effective, switching up your skincare routine to include nourishing age-defying products can give skin a helping hand.”

As for what areas of the face show signs of ageing the most, Tipper revealed: “Your eyes are the first place on your face to show a late night.

“To help reduce puffiness around your eyes and the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, our Frankincense Intense™ Age-Defying Eye Cream instantly hydrates and conditions the delicate, thin skin around your eyes, helping you appear more awake and alert.”

When it comes to a skincare routine, Tipper said “there’s no one-fit for all skincare routine, as everyone’s skin type is different”.

She added: “However, I would always recommend the basics of cleansing, toning and moisturising. If you suffer from oily skin, opt for oil-balancing ingredients such as Palmarosa, as it helps to balance the sebum production in the skin.

“If you prefer a product that you can use for different steps in your routine, I love using our cult Wild Rose Beauty Balm as its multipurpose and can be used to remove make-up, moisturise skin or you can leave on as an overnight face mask.

“If you’d rather not use water for your cleansing, I recommend a cleansing milk such as our organic and fragrance-free Sensitive Soothing Cleansing Milk, which cools and soothes sensitive skin as it melts away everyday impurities without stripping.”

Frankincense Intense ™ Lift Serum is one of the brand’s most popular anti-ageing products with customers awarding it nearly five stars online.

Tipper explained how the serum works: “The Frankincense Intense™ Lift Serum has been designed by our scientists to release the benefits of frankincense while our lifting technology of microalgae, linseed oil and ribose help to visibly lift and recontour the skin.

“The hyaluronic acid within the serum helps to prevent the breakdown of collagen, stimulates elastin production, and plumps the skin.

“Our clinically proven serum contains resin extract, hyaluronic acid, microalgae and ribose, and all have great benefits to the skin’s complexion such as plumping deep lines and wrinkles, obtaining healthy looking skin, improving skin’s cells functions and redefining your skin; meanwhile promoting a feeling of wellbeing and relaxation.”

Sally L shared her experience of using the serum: “I really love this serum. I can tell the difference after a few weeks.”

Linda H left a positive review: “I noticed a difference in my skin tone within four to five days of using Frankincense intense. My skin feels firmer and looks smoother. It is easy and economical to apply, and the fragrance is so uplifting.”

Estelle M said: “A little goes a long way! Smells wonderful and works by tightening face (and pores) as a bonus! I rely on nature’s gifts and won’t Botox etc. People ask who my skincare doctors are: I tell them it’s Neal’s Yard Remedies.”

Julia added: “This product does exactly what it claims to do. Lifts and brightens.”
