A Sydney baker has made a very special delivery to Accor Stadium for Taylor Swift before she takes the stage for her Eras show tonight.

Gabriela Oporto founder of Bakealicious received an order to make a number of cakes for Taylor and her team on Tuesday to celebrate the star’s first Sydney show.

She was asked to make a mix of vegan, gluten-free and regular cakes but that she could design the desserts as she pleased.

Gabriela told FEMAIL she created a delicious Eras-inspired cake for Taylor which is now available for all Swifties to order.

‘The cake we made for Tay Tay represents everything Bakealicious is about – handmade with quality ingredients,’ she said.

‘We combined Taylor’s favourites Milk Bar Store Cake and our traditional Chilean Mil Hojas and Dulce de Leche Cake. It’s finished off with puff pastry horns filled with Dulce de Leche buttercream.’

The baker wanted to add a South American touch to the cake which is why she included Dulce de Leche, a type of caramel made using milk and is popular in Latino culture.

Gabriela decorated the cake with a big purple flower and finished it off with a sprinkle of pastel glitter.

‘I know that Taylor likes purple and one of the outfits that she’s wearing has a lot of glitter so I tried to incorporate that into the cake,’ she said.

This isn’t the first time Gabriela has baked for an A-lister.

She is now the unofficial cakemaker to the stars after making cakes for Harry Styles and Ed Sheeran when they visited Sydney on their respective tours.

‘I guess my SEO is working quite well,’ Gabriela joked assuming the stars found her business with a Google search.

In March 2023, she delivered a smattering of Bakealicious’ fans’ favourite desserts including the Scrumptious Chocolate Cake, Piña Colada Cake, Dulce de Leche Cheesecake and Naked Vintage Vanilla.

Ed Sheeran was so impressed with Gabriela’s creations that he even ordered more the day after receiving his delivery.

‘Whether, like Ed, Taylor will order more of the same desserts the following day we don’t know,’ she said.

‘What we know is that this patisserie has captivated the hearts and taste buds of those who can genuinely appreciate the intricacies of traditional old-fashioned baking including superstars.’

Taylor Swift fans can order the same Eras cake the singer snacked on for themselves for $65 from Bakealicious.

It is available for next-day delivery if ordered before midnight Sydney-wide or free to pick up from the Forestville store.
