How to stay fit and healthy during the holiday season

  1. Fill up half of your plate with vegetables and consume that first
  2. Then move on to eat any less healthy food last
  3. Preload up on protein (nuts, jerky or a smoothie) to keep blood sugar levels stable and to help with hangovers
  4. Don’t skip meals or save calories
  5. Maintain a stable eating schedule
  6. Get eight hours of sleep daily

Bobbi believes that the holidays are a synonym for ‘tasty food and over-indulging’ for many.

Although she confessed that enjoying your favorite foods can be ‘fun for the first few days,’ she admitted that overtime you can start to feel ‘sluggish’ and your ‘cravings begin to take over.’

Bobbi stressed that it is ‘so important to maintain a healthy diet’ for both your skin and mind, ‘especially as you get older.’

The mom-of-two hopes to share her advice as part of her mission to help older women get in the best shapes of their lives.

She suggested others to fill ‘half [their] plate with vegetables’ and to consume that first and then move on to eat any ‘good stuff [that] is left for last.’

Bobbi explained that vegetables are ‘so high in fiber and nutrients.

‘Also to keep blood sugar levels stable, preload up on protein, such as nuts, jerky or a smoothie – it’ll help with those work party hangovers.’

Bobbi also shared that it’s really important not to skip meals in a bid to build up a larger-than-average appetite.

She confessed that ‘saving calories will always backfire,’ therefore, she believes that ‘its best’ to maintain a stable eating schedule ‘so your body isn’t thrown off.’

If not done so, you can get ‘grogginess, irritability and a lack of sleep.’

Bobbi shared that if you don’t get the recommended eight hours of sleep per night, you can easily get stressed during the ‘busiest time of the year.’

She urged others to ‘make room for what’s right for [them].

‘Most importantly, enjoy yourself – it only happens once-a-year, but don’t put your own well-being in the firing line.’

Bobbi previously divulged all about her sex life with husband, Dean, 64, and said that it’s helped her to remain youthful.

‘It’s so crazy to realize that at my age, I’m having the best sex of my life.

‘I have now been married for seven years and this new dynamic has convinced me that a highly sexual connection is the undisclosed key to ageing well.

‘The intimacy I share with my husband has made me feel a deep sense of closeness and safety on so many levels.

‘I’m enjoying multiple orgasms every time we have sex.

‘This depth of pleasure and intimacy is a precious gift.

‘Sex doesn’t have to end at a certain age.’
