Often compared with one of the greatest series, Breaking Bad, the recent season of Better Call Saul ended with the death of Lalo Salamanca. He was killed in a showdown with Gus Fring and was very close to exposing truths about the secret meth lab.

Lalo Salamanca Death: What Happened To Him In Better Call Saul?
Lalo Salamanca died in Better Call Saul after he was shot in a showdown with Gus Fring.
Salamanca came pretty close to exposing Gus with the rest of the Salamanca cartel and planned an effective route to reach the secret meth lab. He explained his plan to Saul, and said him to drive to Gus’ house and kill him when he opens the door.
However, Saul succeeds in pursuing to send Kim instead since she would be less suspicious, and before Kim could kill Gus, Mike intervenes and stops the hit. Nonetheless, it was just a distraction schemed by Lalo to reach the secret lab. As soon as Gus understands it, he approaches the lab to check it.
In the facility, Gus runs to Lalo, who murders his guards and takes Gus hostage. Holding Fring at gunpoint, Lalo foolishly allows him to speak to Don Eladio and the cartel on camera, which in turn initiates the end of the feared villain.
Who Killed Lalo Salamanca?
Gus Fring killed Lalo Salamanca in the eighth episode of the show’s sixth season.
The notorious villain died in his showdown with Gus. After he let Gus speak with other people on camera, the facility owner takes that opportunity to fire back at the villain. Speaking to the bosses in the high-tech meth lab, Fring eventually turns out the light, grabs a gun, and fires the clip at Lalo.
In the next scene, we see Salamanca lying down on the floor, soaked in his blood, with a wound on his neck. Understanding the happening, Lalo gives a chilling smile at his killer and then dies.
How Did Lalo Salamanca Die? Is This The End For Him?
Lalo Salamanca died after he was shot in the neck by Gus Fring. This became the end of the shady villain in Better Call Saul.
He saw the end of his life in his final attempt to expose the high-tech meth lab in Gus’s facility. While his plan was well functional, the appearance of Mike failed the well-schemed move and eventually became the end of Lalo.
With his death, this is indeed the end of Lalo Salamanca, but we will have to wait for the next part to see other conclusions.
