Memphis Grizzlies guard Ja Morant was booed on his return to NBA action on Tuesday night.
Morant stepped onto the court for the first time this season as the Grizzlies took on the Pelicans in New Orleans. Without him at the helm, Memphis is currently 6-19, sitting 13th in the Western Conference.
But he was met by a furious reaction from the Louisiana crowd and was instantly jeered when he picked up the ball.
Morant was awarded a foul early in the first quarter and was met by deafening boos as he stepped up to the free-throw line.
Morant received the suspension after a repeated offense of flashing firearms on Instagram live. The second incident took place on May 14 following a March 4 video that went live after a game in Denver.
