Bargains are sometimes difficult to find but if you go shopping at the right time and in the right place, it is likely that you could come across items half the price of their original value. In supermarkets, yellow stickers usually indicate that products have money off them, but bargains can also be found in non-food retailers, such as Boots.

The thrifty mother’s post received more than 2,000 likes and hundreds of comments.

She shared a picture of her haul and wrote: “All of this for 12 pence!!

“Nine MAM newborn bottles with dummies inside and three Aveeno Body Wash bottles.

“All have been donated to Great Ormond Street Hospital and Children’s Charity for the babies born here.”

The MAM newborn bottles are usually on sale for £7.99 each, while the Aveeno Body Wash bottles cost £5.99 each.

The bargain enthusiast was lucky that she arrived at Boots at the right time to bag the cheap products.

However, others noted that the same thing had previously happened to them.

One mum commented: “This happened to me a few weeks ago with the Aveeno scanning at 1p!”

These include eight points per £1 spent on baby products, free gifts at key stages of your baby’s development, expert parenting advice, and offers via the Boots app.

You will also receive a free Aveeno Baby Daily Care Hair and Bodywash when you sign up.

The savvy mother who posted on Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK managed to bag the incredibly affordable products thanks to the points she had earned by being a member of the Boots Parenting Club.

However, the points scheme is only valid when purchasing items in the baby section of Boots.
