Her religion was also apparent when she married her first husband, Tommy Mottola, at St. Thomas Episcopal Church in New York in 1993.

Her former husband, Nick Cannon, has mentioned that they bonded over their mutual spiritual beliefs.

Nick added that Mariah is conservative and “deep into her Bible.”
