‘I was about 80kg filming MAFS, now I’m back down to 67 as of this morning,’ Olivia told her fans. ‘I try to stay between 60 and 65 so a few more kilos (to lose).’

Olivia underwent gastric sleeve surgery when she was a size 18 at the age of 22.

Earlier this month, Olivia revealed on Instagram that she dropped down to a dangerous 45kg in 2017, after suffering from gall stones following the operation.

‘Recovery (from the procedure) was pretty good except I developed gallstones. I was in a lot of pain,’ she recalled.

Olivia said she is relieved she had the procedure in her early twenties when her skin still had a lot of elasticity.

‘I didn’t have much loose skin. I had a little bit in my arms but my boobies were very saggy, I had to have them done,’ she explained.

She later had a breast reduction after she was able to ‘roll them up like measuring tape’.

Olivia also spoke of her weight loss on the Channel Nine dating show.

She said her relationship with men and how she allowed herself to be treated revolved around her weight, and still views herself as the ‘chubby little girl’.

‘When I was a teenager I was about 95kg and I tried to be as confident as I possibly could on the surface. But deep down I knew everyone’s staring at the fat girl trying to fit into a skirt,’ she said.

While she gained ‘a little more confidence’ after her gastric sleeve, she admitted she never feels ‘truly comfortable’ in anything she wears.

What is a gastric sleeve operation?

The procedure, also known as sleeve gastrectomy, involves a portion of the stomach being removed to leave a smaller tube-shaped section.

Usually about 80 per cent is removed.

As some of the stomach, the person cannot eat as much as they could before and will feel full sooner.

Other weight loss surgeries include the gastric band and gastric bypass.

With a gastric band a band is placed around the stomach, so a person does not need to eat as much to feel full.

While a gastric bypass involves the top part of your stomach being joined to the small intestine, so a person feels fuller sooner and does not absorb as many calories from food.
