She spoke about her concerns over the weight loss drug which left her ‘feeling nauseous the whole time’ as she appeared on Good Morning Britain on Friday.

Sharon told hosts Ben Shephard and Kate Garraway: ‘It does what it says on the packet, it absolutely does. But my only fear is that it is put in the right hands. I don’t think it’s for teenagers at all.

‘I’m scared for 16 to 20-year-olds. It’s easy to say; “This is it, I can eat what I want and keep taking this injection. I think it needs to be in the hands of older people that totally understand that there can be side effects to this.

‘I don’t want young girls because the world we live in today everyone wants to be skinny.’

Giving her experience of using the weight loss drug, which she used last December, Sharon said: ‘I was just fed up of going back and forth with my weight constantly. I thought I’ve tried everything so I thought I might as well try it.

‘I could do with putting on a few pounds. But at this point the way my body is, it’s not listening.

‘Ozzy doesn’t like it. He thinks something is going to happen to me. It’s too good to be true.’

In an interview with Piers Morgan in September, Sharon spoke about how the side effects affected her.

‘It is a mental problem. It really is, apart from, you know, when children grow up in a household where they live off chips and pies,’ she said.

‘But I took [the injection]. I took it for four months and I lost 30 pounds, but like everything, there’s always no quick recipe.’

She continued: ‘I was very sick for a couple of months. The first couple of months, I just felt nauseous. Every day I felt nauseous, my stomach was upset, whatever.

‘But listen, I took it for four months, I lost 30 pounds. I’ve just shoved two chips in my mouth, while we had the break, and I eat normally now, and I haven’t put on a pound. Nothing.’

Sharon previously underwent a gastric bypass procedure in 1999 after spending years battling with her weight.

Ozempic, also known as Wegovy, is the brand name for semaglutide, which works in the brain to make users feel full.

According to the company’s website, using the drug can have uncomfortable side effects that include nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, diarrhea and constipation.

‘I started on Ozempic last December and I’ve been off it for a while now, but my warning is don’t give it to teenagers, it’s just too easy,’ the music manager said.

‘You can lose so much weight and it’s easy to become addicted to that, which is very dangerous,’ the 5’2″ celebrity admitted.

‘I couldn’t stop losing weight and now I’ve lost 42 lbs. and I can’t afford to lose any more.’

Elsewhere, Sharon recently spoke out about undergoing her most recent cosmetic surgery after a previous facelift had left her looking like ‘Quasimodo’.

The former music manager has been open about her fondness for aesthetic tweaks over the years, but hasn’t denied having regrets.

‘There’s not one part of my body that I haven’t had twisted, lifted, elongated, whatever,’ she told the Daily Star.

‘I’ve been messed up many times. This last one was a kind of fix-it job from the guy that did it before.

‘I looked like Quasimodo, because I had one eye here, one eye there. It was wicked.’

The mother-of-three previously confirmed that the disastrous facelift took place in October 2021, and took five and a half hours.

Hollywood’s controversial weight loss drug

Originally approved for diabetes, Wegovy has since been approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to treat patients with obesity.

Ozempic is only approved to treat diabetics but is often provided off-label for weight loss.

Both contain the same key ingredient, semaglutide, which suppresses appetite and has been hailed a ‘game-changer’ for the resulting weight loss.

Wegovy lists for more than $1,300 for a 28-day supply, while Ozempic is around $900 a month.

Both should be prescribed by a doctor but there are concerns about people accessing the drugs online through unregulated providers.
