Michael Strahan’s daughter Isabella, 19, has shared a heartbreaking update about her health as she recovers from chemotherapy for brain cancer at home.

The University of Southern California (USC) freshman was diagnosed with medulloblastoma in October after she began suffering from ‘excruciating headaches’ and was waking up vomiting every morning.

In a YouTube video titled ‘Vlog 8: Recovering from Chemo at home’, Isabella shares the after-effects she is facing as she heals from chemotherapy.

The young adult is heard saying that ‘everything’ hurts that it feels like she is ‘having a heart attack’ while pressing an ice bag on her head.

‘I don’t like it. My head hurts. I have ice on my head. I feel like I’m having a heart attack. It’s definitely gotten a little better but now my heart hurts.’

She also went into detail about the other pains chemotherapy has caused in her body.

‘My eyes are strained, they hurt to look to the sides. My whole mouth feels like I got one giant root canal.

‘Every single tooth, just ripped out and not even surgically put back in. My jaw hurts, the bottom of my tongue hurts. It hurts when I gulp water.’

Jokingly, Isabella further said: ‘I would say I prefer brain surgery to [over chemotherapy], but that might be extreme. This one’s just the longest journey.’

She also talked about her To-Do List, her food channel and her love for potatoes – suggesting that she should change her name to ‘Miss Potato’.

The 5-minute video also offered glimpses of Isabella in the hospital.

After six weeks of radiation, Isabella was able to ‘ring the bell’ earlier this month- a tradition carried out by cancer patients to mark the end of their medical treatment as the GMA host, 52, and her 57-year-old mom, Jean Muggli – who have been rebuilding their fractured relationship after learning of their teen’s diagnosis – cheered her on.

The 19-year-old has since taken fans behind-the-scenes of her difficult chemo preparation and process which includes shots of her getting her blood drawn and getting a port device placed in her chest to administer treatment.

Yesterday’s video was eighth in this series.
