Merseyside Shooting: Ashley Dale Shot To Dead – Ashley Dale, 28, passed unexpectedly on August 21, 2022, after being injured and being found in the backyard of her home.
The innocent woman was also fatally shot, just like her brother Lewis Dunne. She was reportedly not the intended victim of the attack that took place on Leinster Road in Old Swan, Liverpool.
Merseyside Shooting: Ashley Dale Is The Sister Of Murdered Lewis Dunne
Ashley Dale was found dead in her garden with gunshot wounds. She was killed by an intruder who broke into her home in the early hours. Later, she passed away at a hospital.
Police believe that Ashley was alone at her house when her home was invaded. She was shot by an unspecified weapon. The investigators believed that Ashley had been targeted at her address for an unclear reason. They say she was enjoying her weekends like normal people.
Detective Chief Superintendent Mark Kameen has released a statement, that reads: ‘Ashley lived there largely on her own, and what we know at this time is that the front door of that property was forced open by the offender or offenders outside. A firearm was then indiscriminately discharged on multiple occasions inside.’
DCS Kameen also added that Dale’s murder is in its earlier stage of the investigation. Newer updates will be provided very soon.
According to the police, Dale has been identified as the sister of Lewis Dunne, who was killed in a similar manner to her. Although, officials say their deaths are not connected to one another.
Ashley Dale Brother- Who Was Lewis Dunne?
Lewis Dunne is the brother of Ashley Dale. He died in 2015, at the age of 16 years old, after getting shot by a gang in Liverpool.
Dunne was cowardly shot on a canal towpath. He was wounded in his back in a close-range firing after getting mistaken as a rival gang member. His shooting was the culmination of a series of ganster activities on November 15, 2015,
Three men were found guilty of Dunne’s murder. They were armed drug dealers, Jake Culshaw, and his brothers John and Paul Martin.
According to the Police, Dunne shared similar features with a rival gang member. He had noticeable curly hair that the gang members mistook. However, he was an innocent individual on his way to the local market.
What Does Ashley Dale’s Family Say?
Ashley Dale, 28, worked in the Knowsley Council. She is the daughter of Gemma and Steven Dale. Besides Lewis Dunne, she is also the sister of Yasmin Dale.
Dale’s family provided a ‘shining light’ tribute to Ashley on August 22, 2022. The grieving family said: ‘Ashley, our girl – our shining light. Our hearts are broken into a million pieces. She was a hard-working young woman who had her entire life ahead of her.’
The family also condemned the killing as a senseless crime. The added: ‘Ashley had just been promoted at her job with Knowsley Council. She had a degree and so many plans for her bright future that had only just begun.’
‘Her laugh, smile, and energy were infectious in any room. We can not come to terms with how this would happen to a defenseless woman in her own home. None of this makes sense, and our lives will never be the same again. A senseless crime that has torn a family apart. Justice needs to be brought.’
