The most disgusting things that happen at pubs and nightclubs – as former owner reveals the dirty secrets that will shock Aussies

Date:

A former nightclub owner has revealed some of the most ‘disgusting things’ that men and women do in pubs and nightclubs in Australia.

Danny Grant, a promoter and ‘booze mogul’, revealed the ‘revolting’ behaviours he had zero tolerance for when he owned a club in Melbourne.

He said after 15 years in hospitality, one of the worst things he had seen people do was throw glass bottles at unsuspecting crowds.

‘It’s absolutely the s***test go, it’s absolutely revolting, and it happens in concerts and it happens in clubs. It’s normally males, 9.9 per cent of the time it’s a male, they’ll scale a stubby and throw it backwards into a crowd,’ he said in a video posted to social media.

‘It f***s people up; we’ve had little girls whose eyebrows are falling off, their face completely f***ed up, or young dudes who are scarred for life because some d***head thought it was funny to throw a glass bottle behind them in a crowd.’

‘It’s a rat act, a faceless crime, and it’s cowardly.’

Danny Grant, a self-described promotor and booze mogul, revealed the ‘revolting’ behaviours he had had ‘zero tolerance’ for when he owned a nightclub in Melbourne

Mr Grant then described a ‘creepy behaviour’ that he said one group of males in particular was usually responsible for.

‘If they’ve got pointy shoes on, belts, wearing a weird t-shirt you can almost guarantee if you let them in, they’re going to do this,’ he said.

‘They’ll go onto a packed dancefloor, they’ll split up and start to rub on girls with their crotch while their dancing.

‘They to laugh it off like it’s a joke or something but their just being f***ing creepy and gross. Normally the girls will come and tell us eventually or they’ll be multiple girls who come say “hey, there’s some dude trying to push up on girls”.

‘Same as the bottle throwers, they’re dealt with accordingly, we pull them out straight away, there’s no tolerance for that s***.’

Mr Grant said he hadn’t realised those people were seeking ‘sexual gratification’.

‘There’s more to it than even I thought,’ he said. ‘I always thought it was strange and gross, but there’s obviously something else in it too.

He said another disgusting thing was how people defaced the toilets.

‘They’ll literally wipe their a*** and leave it on the side of the toilet,’ he said.

‘People write with poo on the walls, people just leave all kinds of disgusting s*** all over the ground, p*** on everything.’

Mr Grant said surprisingly, the girls toilets were usually in worse condition that the men’s by the time the club closed.

‘It blows my mind, even the thought of it makes me shudder, the things I’ve seen in girls toilets after we’ve closed,’ he said.

‘And when I say s***, I physically mean s***.’ It’s rank, and if you do it, cut it out because it’s f***ing disgusting. Hopefully as people becoming more progressive that s*** stops happening.’

Mr Grant said he also found it disgusting how people would abandon their friends who had overdosed on drugs.

‘You see it all the time,’ he said. ‘Someone will come out and they’ll say “look my friend OD’d”, then say they’re not doing drugs but their eyes look like dinnerplates.

‘And then the whole time their there, they don’t give a f***. They just want you to call the ambulance to come and take over and give them water. And as soon as you do and they can see their in a safe place, they p*** straight back into the club.

‘If your a friend that leaves your friend chucking on herself because she’s taken drugs, you may have even given them, go to the closest mirror and have a long hard f***ing look at yourself, because it’s disgusting behaviour.’

Mr Grant added that another thing he had hated seeing in his club was ‘entitlement’.

He said almost every nightclub owner had experienced a man who claimed to be a lawyer threaten to sue the venue if they were denied entry or a drink at the bar.

‘If I had a penny every time I saw a rich kid yell at a security guard who kicked him out or didn’t let him in, that his dad was a lawyer or that he would sue him and take his job, I would never have to work again,’ he said.

‘I’ve never had any retribution from these kids whose dads are lawyers. There must be a lot of lawyers in the world because we hear it so often, it’s ridiculous.’
