Woman ‘is raped on a roundabout in Croydon in horror attack’

A woman is said to have been raped on a roundabout during a horror attack in south London.    

Police were called to Mitcham town centre at 2pm on Tuesday, following reports that a woman in her 20s was attacked. 

She was allegedly pounced upon on a roundabout off Park Lane in Croydon, according to the Sun.

The woman is receiving support from officers specialising in such crimes.

A police spokesperson said: ‘A crime scene has been put in place. There have been no arrests. Enquiries continue.’
