Lawrence Lambert allegedly admitted to police that he kicked the infant in the head twice because he was frustrated. The Lucas County Coroner’s Office conducted an autopsy on Legend Lambert, revealing severe cerebral edema, subdural hemorrhage, and subarachnoid hemorrhage, which were determined to be the cause of his death. The coroner’s office ruled Legend’s death a homicide due to blunt head trauma.

The incident has sparked discussions about child abuse and neglect, with some questioning the signs of such abuse and how to prevent it. The case serves as a stark reminder of the importance of addressing and preventing child abuse and neglect, as well as the need for support systems for families in crisis.

The charges against Lawrence Lambert are a reflection of the gravity of the situation and the potential for severe consequences when a child’s life is taken.
