Aaron Rodgers ‘felt great’ throwing on the field before the Jets beat the Eagles, he said Tuesday.

Rodgers is working his way back from an Achilles tear in Week 1 vs. the Bills, and was spotted walking into MetLife Stadium on Sunday without the help of crutches.

And the quarterback took another step in his recovery afterwards as he threw some passes on the turf before his team went on to beat the Eagles 20-14.

Rodgers said on the Pat McAfee Show that the next ‘critical marker’ for him is jogging, though he declined to put any sort of timetable on his seemingly ahead-of-schedule recovery.

The quarterback noted that he had a ‘little bit of a limp’ while throwing, and noted that it was probably better for his recovery prospects that the Achilles tear did not occur in his plant leg (left leg).

Nonetheless, he enjoyed feeling ‘a little bit more normal’ and spending time around his teammates.

“It was incredible to be back around the guys and I was really thankful to be back on the sidelines,’ he said.

‘That was a special moment for me to be back on the field throwing a football’.’

The 39-year-old has been rehabbing in California but will return to the Jets’ facility permanently after their Week 7 bye, ESPN previously reported.

Rodgers was seen walking with crutches at the Jets’ October 1 game vs. the Chiefs, but admitted to being ‘well ahead’ of schedule in his injury recovery during a recent appearance on the Pat McAfee show.

Rodgers has seemingly made significant strides since the Jets' October 1 game vs. the Chiefs.

‘The first goal was really to be upright, to be out of a boot and to be able do some summons of walking by the time I came back,’ Rodgers said after being spotted walking with the help of crutches earlier this month.

‘I couldn’t fly until I got cleared again last week with no blood clots, so coming to the Sunday night game was always on the agenda. That was the goal, so I definitely met that one. Now the next goal is to walk without crutches.

‘It’s pretty obvious I’m well ahead of the normal protocols when it comes to normal rehab with this kind of thing. That was always what my mindset was and that was what [Dr] Neal [ElAttrache] and I talked about in the locker room after it happened; with the type of surgery that he’d been doing now for a little bit.’

In the meantime, Rodgers will hope that the Jets can stay afloat ahead of a possible return this season.

After a falling to 1-3, the Jets have won their last two games – with backup Zach Wilson slowly looking more comfortable leading the offense.

The Jets have a bye this week but will face the Giants on October 29.
