Captain Sandy Yawn is reacting to Captain Lee Rosbach’s recent Twitter diss, sharing why she didn’t inform him of Camille Lamb’s firing beforehand, and revealing there was almost a “mutiny.”

Captain Sandy, who stars in Below Deck Mediterranean, agreed to temporarily lead Lee’s ship while he recovered from a medical condition. But after Below Deck viewers saw Camille’s firing, Lee publicly shared his unhappiness with Sandy, claiming there was a lack of procedure. He also suggested she wasn’t showing respect.

Speaking with host Amy Phillips on SiriusXM’s Reality Checked, Captain Sandy addressed the feud.

She first explained a reason why she didn’t notify Lee before the firing. In the process, Sandy revealed there was almost a mutiny on the ship.

“He’s in the hospital. Who’s gonna call and say, ‘Can I fire Camille?’ Never in a million years would I do that,” said the star. “But what I did was give him a courtesy call saying, ‘By the way, I did fire her. You almost had a mutiny on your boat because of her.’”

She added, “And plus, who’s gonna call someone while they’re having surgery and then recovering from surgery? It’s just, I don’t know what happened, but I tried to call him a few times and he hasn’t picked the phone up … I just wanted to go, ‘Why? Why?’”

The captain expressed, “When they go low, we go high … I told Lee I was, like ‘Hurt people hurt people,’ right? So, I don’t know. I haven’t ever hurt ’em, but I think when you spew that kind of stuff, it’s like, it’s inward and I feel bad for the guy.”

“He’s definitely not acting his age,” Sandy continued.

Sandy shut down the idea that she wanted to take over. “I called him [later in the season] and said, ‘Come back to your boat.’ Cuz I had a girlfriend that was going to have surgery. Like, I didn’t step on there to take over a show. I don’t want two shows. I like the Med. Are you kidding me? I like the Mediterranean.”

Below Deck airs Monday nights at 8 p.m. EST on Bravo.
