Nicola Roberts looked the epitome of chic as she attended a Kate Spade New York event in London on Friday.

The singer, 38, stepped out in a high-waisted black skirt which she teamed with a white Kate Spade New York embellished poplin shirt.

The event came as Girls Aloud added more dates to their much-anticipated reunion tour, after selling 200,000 tickets in a matter of hours with some fans unable to purchase due to a website glitch.

For the occasion, Nicola wore her red hair in loose curls cascading over her shoulders and toted her essentials in the luxurious fashion brand’s Dakota Small crossbody bag.

The singer joined Charli Howard and actress Nikkita Chadha at the Kate Spade New York Special Holiday Journey on board the Belmond British Pullman; a luxury train that promises an unforgettable trip through the British countryside.

The event took place in tandem with the launch of a 10-metre Kate Spade New York Holiday tree at the heart of London’s Waterloo Station.

The grand structure has been crafted using giant gift-wrapped boxes in Kate Spade New York green and invites London to spread joy, welcoming one and all to celebrate the holiday season.

The sculpture marks the first fashion brand to display a holiday tree at the landmark location and will be open to the public December 1 through to January 6

Tickets for The Girls Aloud Show went on general sale on Friday at 9am following two days of pre sales, and within hours, The Promise hitmakers had already shifted 200,000 tickets for the May/June shows.

The surge in sales has prompted the BRIT Award-winning girl band to double the initial length of the tour by adding a further 14 dates.

The additional performances will take place in Dublin, Belfast, Manchester, Sheffield, Newcastle, Glasgow, Nottingham, Leeds, Birmingham, London and Liverpool.

During the initial pre-sales on Wednesday, some fans were left disappointed – some ‘absolutely disgusted’ – due to the website Ticketek glitching.

One wrote: ‘Three times I had seats selected and got to checkout before it timed out, each repeat occurrence with worse seats than before. When at the checkout stage surely the timer should reset ! Have given up now, absolutely disgusted with the experience here!’

Others said: ‘Anyone trying to get Girls Aloud tickets, sod Ticketek off and go back to the presale link in the email. Took me to Ticketmaster and I got tickets straight away, no queueing at all!! (Up in the gods but I refuse to pay £100+’.

‘@ticketek_uk utter disaster with the #girlsaloud pre sale, got tickets but the page timed out as I was signing in to then get to the payment page, despite signing in before I clicked to look for tickets. Not happy not stuck in the stupid lounge again’.

‘Don’t use ticketek use ticketmaster!!! Was in the queue on ticketek for 2 hours, on ticketmaster I went straight through!’.

MailOnline has contacted Ticketek for comment.

Ticketek is an Australian event ticketing company and is a rival for Ticketmaster.

Nicola, Cheryl, Nadine Coyle, and Kimberley Walsh, shot to fame in the band alongside the late Sarah Harding – who died in September 2021 at the age of 39 following a battle with breast cancer.

The band were formed in 2002 when they won Popstars: The Rivals before splitting in 2013 and then announcing a reunion tour last week.

The tour will see the band provide fans with a whole dose of nostalgia by performing their best-loved hits, as the group have not recorded new music but just want to celebrate their back catalogue.

The group have said that they plan to use the tour to ‘celebrate’ their late friend, Sarah and will keep her vocal parts the same.

Cheryl revealed that in her final months before her tragic death, Sarah expressed her wish that the girls would reunite without her one day.

Speaking to British Vogue, she detailed the moment Sarah gave her blessing for a Girls Aloud reunion, admitting at the time she couldn’t fathom the idea of losing her friend and was still waiting on a ‘miracle’.
