Jason Whitlock says he feels sorry for Stephen A. Smith after the ESPN host unleashed a furious tirade against his rival on Wednesday.
Over 59 minutes on his Youtube show, Smith accused Whitlock of being ‘a devil’, worse than a ‘white supremacist’ and the ‘most despicable, lying, no-good, fat-a** human being I have ever known’.
Smith’s comments were supported by several of his media colleagues but Whitlock hit back on social media on Wednesday night.
‘I knew Stephen A was limited. I didn’t know he was this limited,’ the controversial columnist said.
‘I’m starting to feel sorry for him. I beat up a baby seal.’
Jason Whitlock says he feels sorry for Stephen A. Smith after the ESPN host’s furious tirade
Smith referred to Whitlock as a ‘b****’ and a ‘fat piece of s***’ in his program on Wednesday
The X-rated tirade came after Whitlock penned a column claiming details in Smith’s recently-released memoir did not ‘add up’.
‘I hate this b*****. Far more than a little bit. He is the worst human being any of you will ever meet,’ the ESPN host responded on ‘The Stephen A. Smith Show’.
‘You get within a mile of his presence, wrap your arms around yourself to protect your soul. He is Cain. He is a devil, the worst.’
Whitlock claimed that, around a decade ago, he tried to repair his relationship with Smith. But the ESPN host said his contract includes a stipulation that ensures he never has to work with Whitlock.
‘At the request of (former ESPN chiefs) John Skipper and John Kosner, I made a sincere effort to make peace with SAS in 2013 or 14,’ Whitlock said, vowing to ‘dig up’ an email to prove it.
‘He’s the dude that’s going to have a funeral and there ain’t going to be pallbearers,’ Smith said
Their incredible feud comes just days after ESPN found itself at the center of another high-profile war of words.
Jimmy Kimmel and Aaron Rodgers have dominated the headlines this week after the Jets QB linked the late-night host to the Jeffrey Epstein papers.
And Whitlock said: ‘I like Jimmy Pitaro, the (chairman) of ESPN. He inherited a complete mess from John Skipper. Pitaro tried to clean it up.
‘But I’m not sure you can clean up a Disney mess. It’s impossible to manage talent at Disney. What’s transpired at ESPN in the past week is a total embarrassment.’
