Kevin De Bruyne has revealed he won’t be sidelined at Man City for much longer as he enjoyed some downtime at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.

The Belgian midfielder has been injured and out of action since August with a hamstring injury.

Right now, he has been continuing his rehab and took the time to attend the Formula 1 season-finale in Abu Dhabi.

Asked when he thinks he’ll be able to make his return to football, he said he hopes to be back by early 2024.

It’s going well, getting along. Still got a little way to go, but we’ll be there,’ he told Sky Sports.

‘Hopefully I’ll be back something close after the New Year, if everything goes well.’

While at the racing event, De Bruyne was filmed taking part in a TikTok dance with Noelgoescrazy.

It sent fans into fits of laughter as they joked about his moves, with one person writing on social media: ‘I’m howling.’

De Bruyne has made 240 appearances for City since signing in 2015 and has 64 goals for the club.

Pep Guradiola’s side will be hoping for the Belgian’s speedy return following their 1-1 draw at home to Liverpool on the weekend.

Arsenal currently sit top of the Premier League table after their narrow 1-0 win against Brentford.
