Selling Sunset star, Jason Oppenheim, and girlfriend Marie Lou Nurk have reportedly called it quits on their relationship after 10 months of dating.
The pair were first spotted getting cozy with one another last summer in Mykonos, Greece, and shortly after confirmed their romance making their red-carpet debut at the premiere of the film “Day Shift.”
The real estate mogul, 46, took to Instagram to share the news with his followers.
“While we still love and care about each other very much, the distance between has proven to be too great a challenge to overcome,” Jason wrote in an Instagram story over a photo of he and Marie overlooking a sunset.
“We remain close friends and continue to talk often and support each other, and we want the very best for one another. We thank everyone for their support throughout our relationship,” he concluded.
Marie, 25, recently moved back to her home of Paris, France, after living in Los Angeles with Jason for the better part of a year.
News of the split comes unexpectedly as the former couple seemed to be dealing with the long-distance quite well judging from a recent Instagram Q&A that Marie participated in.
“The truth is, we both knew from the beginning that I would have to move back because of my job, friends, and family being here,” she said during the Instagram Q&A.
“Long distance relationships can be tough, but we’re both committed to making it work. We make sure to communicate regularly and make time for each other despite the distance,” Marie continued adding that their romance was “worth the effort.”
In fact, earlier this year the relationship was moving along so well that the pair moved into an $18 million dollar condo together.
“We’re [going to be] living here, I think, for many years,” Jason said at the time.
Prior to dating Marie, Jason was previously linked to Selling Sunset costar, Chrishell Stause, but the reality stars ended up splitting after seven months. However, the pair have remained close friends. Jason even threw Chrishell a surprise engagement party for she and partner, G Flip.
Marie has yet to comment on her and Jason’s breakup.
