Woman, 31, stabbed to death as police wait to speak to man, 38, found with serious injured – Detectives have named a woman found dead in a house alongside a seriously injured man – who they want to quiz on suspicion of her murder.

Mother Marta Chmielecka, 31, was discovered inside the home in Kettering, Northamptonshire on Tuesday just after midday.

Police had forced themselves into the £130,000 property where they found Ms Chmielecka’s body and the badly-injured man, 38.

They had been called to the address after reports of concern for a person’s welfare.

He was taken to hospital, where he is in a serious but stable condition, and Northamptonshire Police say they are treating him as a suspect.

Locals say the pair used to be seen together and are believed to have been in a relationship.

Police have zeroed in on a 30 minute nighttime slot some four days before the two were found and believe it could be key to the investigation.
