After Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce were spotted on a date in New York on Saturday night, the pop star’s fans predicted she will be at another NFL game on Sunday – but not a Chiefs one.

Jason Kelce – the older Kelce brother – and his Philadelphia Eagles team are also in the Big Apple this weekend to play the New York Jets on Sunday afternoon.

And in a further twist, Swift is a fan of the Eagles – despite cheering Travis and the Chiefs on in recent weeks.

In her song ‘Gold Rush’ from the record ‘Evermore’, she references her NFL team with the line: ‘I see me padding ‘cross your wooden floors, with my Eagles t-shirt hanging from the door’.

Some fans claimed she was referencing the band The Eagles, but the pop star herself straightened out the confusion at her Philadelphia show in May this year.

‘I don’t know how large the debate was, but I did see the debate,’ Swift said. ‘I have a lyric that says, ‘With my Eagles t-shirt hanging from the door.’

‘I saw some people wondering if it was the band the Eagles or the team the Eagles, and I love the band the Eagles, but guys, come on. I’m from Philly. Of course it’s the team.’

The clip of Swift’s explanation went viral and the official NFL twitter account even shared it.

The Swiftie fanbase went into overdrive late on Saturday night after the pictures of her and Travis surfaced.

‘When Taylor Swift shows up to the Eagles vs. Jets game tomorrow decked out in Eagles gear I’m gonna be sooooo obnoxious,’ one fan said.

Another wrote: ‘Imagine this: Travis and Taylor in a suite at MetLife being cute as f*ck while watching Jason (and the Eagles) play the Jets on Sunday afternoon.’

A different Swift fan said: ‘Wait I hope they do go to the eagles game tomorrow …. Smiles would be so huge.’

Travis and Jason are close – they host a podcast together called ‘New Heights’ where they discuss the weekly events of the NFL season.

Swift was at the MetLife Stadium in New York on October 1 to cheer Travis and the Chiefs on against the Jets. Kelce’s team won that game 23-20.

Ironically, Swift would have been cheering against Travis and the Chiefs when they beat Jason and the Eagles in the Super Bowl earlier this year.

Swift last watched Kelce and the Chiefs play on Thursday night in Kansas City as they beat the Denver Broncos 19-8.
