Landlord unleashes at her tenants after they stopped paying rent – before she is slammed by snooty millennials: ‘Nobody wants to hear your sob story’

  • Woman complained about tenants not paying rent
  • She claimed that the situation left her ‘struggling’
  • Millennials have hit out at the landlord’s comments

A landlord has gone on an extraordinary and foul-mouthed rant against her tenants after accusing them of refusing to pay rent.

Liz Hammond took to TikTok to go on a ‘little bit of a whinge’ as she laid into tenants of a property she is renting in Sydney.

The mother, believed to be living in Cargo, New South Wales, said her tenants had stopped paying her rent two months ago and had also stopped communicating with the estate agents she had employed.

She blasted them for ‘causing us stress and extra pressure’ and claimed that her family is ‘struggling right now’ following the death of her mother and a cancer diagnosis for her father.

Her video led to intense criticism from millennials, who posted mocking clips in response.

Daily Mail Australia has contacted Ms Hammond for comment.

Speaking on TikTok, she said: ‘We have a little, tiny, matchboxed size of land in Sydney that people rent from us.

‘Over a month ago, they decided to stop paying us rent and they decided to stop communicating with the real estate agent.

‘I just wanted to say to them: Thank you for causing us this stress. What you don’t know is that my mum died four months ago and two months later, my dad was diagnosed with leukaemia.

‘I haven’t really been to work that much and with kids and not much paid leave, we’re really struggling.

‘I just wanted to say to you: f*** you for causing extra pressure in my life when I didn’t need it.

‘You 20-something-year-olds with no life experience and no pressures wouldn’t give a f***ing s*** about the fact that we are struggling right now. So f*** you, and I’m having to drink out of a plastic f***ing cup.’

The foul-mouthed tirade ended with her gesturing to the camera with a plastic cup.

It’s unclear why the situation has forced Ms Hammond to drink out of plastic cups.

One said: ‘I’m so sorry to hear you can’t afford your investment property. Have you considered cancelling Netflix and making your coffee at home?

‘You do realise that tenants also go through life events and have much less stability than you? Nobody wants to hear your sob story. You chose a risky investment.’

One comment said: ‘Dying to know what she’s charging for this ‘tiny, little matchbox sized piece of land’ and how that’s affecting her ability to drink out of a glass.’

Another added: ‘Of course she turned the comments off on her video what a Karen.’

While a third asked: ‘Sell the property if its that much of an issue for her?’
