Elizabeth, the Black Dahlia, was a woman from the United States. She was murdered about January 15, 1947, in Leimert Park, in Los Angeles, California.

Based on Elizabeth’s unsolved murder, a band called The Black Dahlia Murder was created in 2001. It is a Waterford, Michigan-based American melodic death metal band.

Simon Gauthier was believed to be connected in Black Dahlia’s murder case, which doesn’t seem to have any connection as per the research. However, Simon was a hiker.

 

 

He intended to climb alone the coast, which alternates between beaches and cliffs, far to Naples, around 200 kilometers to the north. He seemed to fall into a ravine, several meters down.

Gauthier managed to dial the emergency number and ask for help. Unfortunately, the rescue team reached but to find his dead body. Besides, Black Dahlia’s case was also similar.

She was found dead in an empty lot. The case of Black Dahlia was the breaking news that was covered by all the media. The investigator was Brian Carr, who was a detective.

He said, “Early on, I think for two months, it was front-page news in all the local papers every day.” There were lots of rumors, false news on the murder case.

On January 15, 1947, Elizabeth’s body was found in two pieces on a void lot on the west side of South Norton Avenue. Her body was discovered by a resident, Betty Bersinger. 

She died ten hours before her body was discovered. The killer washed her body, and her face had been slashed from teh corners of her mouth to her ears, making “Glasgow smile.”

The waitress was living in Los Angeles wished a dream to have a break into Hollywood’s acting scene. The Black Dahlia Murder band was formed as a tribute to her case.

Where Is Simon Gauthier Now?

Simon Gauthier died soon after he made a call for help. He went missing on August 9th, 2019, and was found dead 11 days later of his missing.

 

 

The 27 years old died of hemorrhagic shock due to the section of a femoral arterial stated in Sapri hospital as per the autopsy report that was carried out.

Gauthier is not related to the homicide case of Elizabeth Short known posthumously as the Black Dahlia who, was murdered and was highlighted on the news back then.
