“In the beginning, it was just little pieces that I could cover, and it was no big deal. It would grow right back. The last time that she lost her hair, she lost a significant amount,” told Katelyn.
With September marking Alopecia Awareness Month, Katelyn Larson on Friday made an Instagram post sharing about the disease that has troubled her otherwise fine family.
Katelyn captioned the post, “September is Alopecia Awareness Month! This one is special to our family, as we have had to navigate it with Audrey. She was First diagnosed with hair loss when she was just 18 months old. It has come and gone a few times now.”
The auto racing driver’s wife also shared that all of the proceedings would go to the National Alopecia Areata Foundation and shared many cute photos of her brave little daughter.
Kyle Larson’s Heritage
Kyle Larson comes from a Japanese-American heritage, with his father an American and his mother half Japanese and half American.
Kyle’s family has a dark history. His maternal grandparents were put into prison camps made by the US government to detain Japanese Americans after the Pearl Habour attacks.
