Burger King allowed me to try its brand new creation: the XL BBQ Double Stacker, a “lip-smacking BBQ addition” to its menu.

The delicious burger features two juicy 100 percent British and Irish beef burgers with gooey American cheese.

It also comes with crispy bacon slices, onion rings and sweet and smoky BBQ sauce.

The BBQ Double Stacker XL is priced at £8.89 while the BBQ Double Stacker XL Meal is just £11.09.

Having sampled the new burger, it is clear that Burger King has upped its game and after the first bite, I knew this could be my new favourite. However, I couldn’t finish it because of the large size.

Overall, the burger tasted delicious with its standouts undoubtedly being its two double patties, cooked to perfection, just like the iconic Burger King flame-grilled burgers.

The rest of the ingredients were combined beautifully – the crunchy bacon was the best part for me and the BBQ sauce, although not too generous, was the right amount the elevate the experience.

I’m not a fan of onion rings and I was happy to see that they were almost non-existent, but those looking for the crunchy texture and flavour could be left disappointed.

The BBQ Double Stacker XL reminded me of the classic Bacon Double Cheese Burger, so fans of the iconic meal will definitely enjoy the new addition.

Accompanied by a drink and fries, it was perfect for one of those nights when you don’t feel like cooking but you want something tasty.

The BBQ Double Stacker XL, as its name suggests, is gigantic and I could not finish the whole thing, so Burger King fans should expect a very filling, but absolutely delicious meal.

The XL BBQ Double Stacker is currently available via delivery only on Uber Eats from May 16 to May 29.

From May 30 to June 26, Burger King fans will be able to order it using Uber Eats, Deliveroo, Just Eat and the Burger King app.

In an exclusive Uber Eats offer, customers can get six Chilli Cheese Bites for free when ordering the XL BBQ Double Stacker if they spend £20 or more.
