She said: ‘I feel much better than I’ve ever felt. I’ve changed my diet and had my teeth done, which I just love. I’ve always wanted them done, but I thought I couldn’t spend so much on my teeth. Now, I can’t stop smiling and showing off my expensive new teeth!’

Coleen continued: ‘I thought, if I’m not care, I’m going to be hitting the mobility scooter before I turn 60. My back and hips were bad and everything hurt. Getting off the sofa was hard work.’

Her daughter, 20-year-old Ciara from her second marriage to Ray Fensome, showed her documentaries which detailed the health benefits of veganism.

Coleen said she felt the benefits of the diet, where you eat no animal products, instantly.

She went onto share that she misses McDonald’s milkshakes since going on the restricted diet, but loves the alternatives out there.

The star, who was part of a singing group with her sisters The Nolans, thinks she has dropped two stone.

‘I think I’ve probably dropped a couple of stone. I was 16 on top, but now I can get into a 14. With trousers, I was an 18-20 before, and now it’s more 14016. The weight loss was just a bonus. Me going vegan was never about losing weight’

The television personality has spoken about her body image struggles in the past, and shared that she has been on almost every diet out there.

Coleen then went on to speak to the publication about her love life, saying she has found romance with someone she met on Tinder.

She said that the dating app became a ‘game’ to her and that she swapped out mobile phone games so she could swipe left or right.

The new man, she said, is not part of the showbusiness crowd and that he is a ‘kind soul.’

Before her new love, she was married to Ray. Prior to that she was married to EastEnders actor Shane Richie and has two sons Jake, 29, and Shane, 32, with the star.

Coleen has been promoting her new book Live. Laugh. Love: Lessons I’ve Learned which is out on Thursday and details being in the spotlight since the age of nine, navigating divorce and embracing single life.

She appeared on Lorraine on Wednesday to promote the book and chatted with stand-in presenter Christine Lampard.

The pair, who have starred on Loose Women together for years, jokingly asked why she was left out of the book: ‘I just thought there might have been a mistake?’ as she flipped though the book, with Coleen reasoning that publishers must’ve left her name out.

However, after reading a book, Christine was left confused as to why co-stars including Ruth Langsford received a mention in the memoir, but her own name was omitted.

Speaking to her pal, she said: ‘You talk about having a lot of friends who have nothing to do with the TV world or book world, your real friends that you’ve known for a long time

‘I see Ruth Langsford gets a big mention in there, Brenda Edwards gets a mention in there.’

As a smiling Coleen put her hand across her face, Christine sarcastically went on: ‘I’ve been flicking through and I carried on, I just couldn’t see my name!

‘I’m guessing it’s being kept as a sequel. I just thought there might have been a mistake?’

Quick to give her reasons as to why Christine was missing from the book, Coleen quipped: ‘I was very, very upset with them because they took your name out! I don’t know why, it was there in many chapters.

‘But do you know what I think it was? You were on maternity leave when I wrote that book so out of sight, out of mind.

‘You didn’t keep in touch with me, I still haven’t held that child so you’re not getting in that book!’

Christine then burst into giggles as she remarked: ‘Must try harder!’ as Coleen added: ‘You know I love you!’
