Aussies are slammed for creating a disgusting mess at McDonald’s: ‘I feel sorry for the workers that have to deal with this’

A shocking video of a McDonald’s showing French fries scattered on the floor and rubbish piled on tables has left Aussies disgusted.

The video was taken at a McDonald’s restaurant on Bourke Street, in Melbourne’s CBD, and was shared to TikTok last Thursday.

The confronting footage shows tables at the store littered with rubbish, with paper bags, plastic cups and empty food boxes strewn everywhere.

Food scraps can also be seen around the bottom of the tables, as several diners ate their meals, seemingly unbothered by the mess around them.

The video begins with a customer, who is sitting with a group of others at the end of the seating area, picking up his frozen soft drink, and hurling it across the restaurant near another group of diners.

The drink then lands on the ground, with the liquid spilling everywhere, adding to the several other discarded plastic cups on the floor.

The brazen act prompted a man sitting with a group of friends, to briefly get up and stare at the man who threw his drink, visibly angry.

The contents of several other drinks can also be seen splattered across the floor of the store, leaving behind streaks of the wet liquid.

A garbage bin was seen in the distance, with rubbish piled on top of one another, almost overflowing from the bin.

The person taking the video can be heard sniggering, as he captures the grim scene on his phone.

‘Macca’s Melbourne,’ the video was captioned.

‘I have never seen a McDonalds like this in Australia!!’ another wrote.

Others lamented the filthy state of the restaurant.

‘What a f*****g mess no respect for anyone or anything…,’ another wrote.

‘This is beyond gross’.

One former staff member who worked at the restaurant commented on the post, saying the shocking scenes were a common sight.

‘I used to work here it was like hell and still same in weekend nights[sic],’ he said.
