Budget Session Live Updates: Both Houses Of Parliament Adjourned Till 2 PM

New Delhi:

Both houses of the parliament were adjourned till 2 pm today amid loud protests and sloganeering from opposition parties demanding a discussion on and an investigation into allegations of fraud against the Adani Group.

Amid the ongoing Hindenburg-Adani row, the Congress is holding countrywide protests in front of Life Insurance Corporation (LIC) offices and State Bank of India (SBI) branches. Congress MPs will also protest near the Gandhi statue in Parliament House today.

Both houses of the Parliament was adjourned till Monday after massive protests by Opposition over the Hindenburg report. The Opposition has been demanding a discussion on the Adani row, besides inquiries by a joint parliamentary committee or a Supreme Court-monitored panel.

Third day today several opposition members gave notices for adjournment motion to take up an important issue. Every single has been rejected for the straight day. How can every notice be rejected. We do not want to disrupt the house. We want the discussion on this grave important issue, senior Congress leader P Chidambaram said.
