Emma Raducanu has excited fans by sharing videos of her rehabilitation on her Instagram page. 

The 2021 US Open winner has been out of action for months and missed the French Open, Wimbledon, and American Grand Slam this year. 

She has not played since her defeat to Jelena Ostapenko in April and had surgery on both wrists and her ankle in May.

The 20-year-old returned to the practice courts in August but was not ready in time for the US Open, where she made her name, and has dropped out of the top 200.

However, she has now reignited anticipation among her fans after giving insight into her recovery progress.

In the video, Raducanu shows herself doing walking knee-ups, lunges, and wrist exercises.

She also shows herself jumping, running, and hopping on a small trampoline.

One user commented: ‘Beyond excited for your comeback! The world ain’t ready’.

Another wrote: ‘Can’t wait to see you back on the courts! Wimbledon 2024 can’t come soon enough’. 

She has been training at the LTA’s National Tennis Centre recently. 

At the moment she is making small steps and the target for her return is an exhibition event in China in December.

The timeline of her recovery means she will miss November’s Billie Jean King Cup clash with Sweden.

Great Britain confirmed Katie Boulter, Harriet Dart, Jodie Burrage and Heather Watson in their four-woman line-up for the tie, which they need to win to have a chance of qualifying for next year’s finals. 

Alongside training, the tennis star has been expanding her range of hobbies during her period of coalescence. 

She recently posted a video of her trying her hand at painting on her first visit to China in four years.
