Vladimir Zelensky’s ‘Servant of the People’ Arrives on Netflix – Netflix has acquired the streaming rights to Servant of the People (also known as Sluga naroda or лyа народy), a series starring Volodymyr Zelenskyy, who rose to international prominence in the aftermath of Ukraine’s invasion. The first season of the show, which will be followed by three more seasons, is now accessible on Netflix.
A teacher (played by Ukraine’s current President, Vladimir Zelensky) rails against the corrupt political class, organizes a viral campaign, and is then unexpectedly elected to the office in the Ukrainian political comedy.
All 24 episodes of the first season are now accessible on Netflix in select Netflix markets, including Netflix in the United States, Netflix Canada, Netflix Australia, Netflix India, and Netflix Europe.

Between 2015 and 2019, three seasons of the show were shown on the local Ukrainian network 1+1.

The show has previously been available on Netflix. In actuality, it had the show from May 2017 to March 2021, and it had the global rights to the series. Given the circumstances, Netflix has decided to repurchase the rights to the series, citing renewed interest in the series as a result of the present situation in Ukraine.

According to Fox News, the show’s popularity has skyrocketed in recent weeks, with Eccho Rights telling them that “sales have surged considerably in the previous few days,” and that “interest in the programme is tremendous.”
The series is exclusively accessible on Netflix in Russian with English subtitles (despite being originally shown in Ukrainian). There are no dubs available.

In recent weeks, the show has been sold to a number of local stations around the world. The show’s broadcast rights were obtained by Channel 4 in the United Kingdom, hence it isn’t available on Netflix UK.

Winter on Fire: Ukraine’s Fight for Freedom, Netflix’s Oscar-nominated documentary, is now available on YouTube for free (no Netflix subscription required).
“For us, it became… too tough to, we believed, operate proportionate to the opportunity,” Netflix CFO Spencer Neumann stated recently at a conference.
It’s unknown whether season 2 (subtitled From Love to Impeachment) and season 3 (subtitled Choice) will be released on Netflix.
