The Diocese of Savannah claims that June Barrow chose to be on leave due to the incident and that her work will be there for her when she is ready to return.
Witnesses characterized Barrow’s interactions with the youngster as “appropriate and remedial in reaction to a child punching, kicking, and being violent towards staff and other children.

The mother, Kasey Brooks, attacked the preschool instructor several times even though onlookers tried to stop her.
The teacher departed in an ambulance when it was all done. After the incident, Barrow was transported to the hospital and freed to go home.
According to the sheriff’s office, Kasey is being held without bond and faces a misdemeanor battery charge.

There is still a no-contact order between Brooks and Barrow.
According to the GoFundMe page, Brooks has received more than $32,000 in donations for what she describes as her legal bills.
The sheriff’s office is reportedly seeking to hide the identity of the other students in the classroom by blurring their faces because of the I-request Team for that video evidence.

Kasey Brooks’ second attempt to have the teacher at St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church in Grovetown charged with a crime got dismissed by the Columbia County magistrate court.
In a request for a warrant, Brooks claimed that footage from the school showed June Barrow assaulting her 2-year-old son Hatcher. She wanted at least basic battery charges filed.
Before dismissing the accusation, Magistrate Judge Rodney Quesenberry heard testimony from Brooks, the instructor, the program’s director, and Assistant District Attorney Natalie Paine.
According to Jack Long, the teacher’s attorney, the judge found no evidence to support Barrow committing any crime against the kid of the Brooks.
