According to the New York Police Department, officers responded to a complaint of a shooting at East 139th Street and Fifth Avenue at 12:40 a.m.
When authorities arrived, they located five persons on a pathway beside FDR Highway with gunshot wounds. The shooting occurred immediately beneath the Madison Avenue Bridge.

St. Raymond High School for Boys from where Lee graduated in 2019 also released a statement after his demise. They wrote that the news of his death has left the community devastated and heartbroken.
The school further added apart from being an amazing basketball player, he was a phenomenal human being who was living such a positive life.

The authorities are still looking for the suspect of the mass shooting that happened in Harlem, New York.
While the motive for the shooting is still being investigated, NYPD Deputy Chief Brian McGee believes it occurred at a barbecue or “something of that nature.”
