The Montreal Canadiens tied their Tuesday night clash against the Nashville Predators on one of the most bizarre goals you will ever see.

In a matter of six seconds, the Predators went from leading the visiting Canadiens 2-0, to tied, thanks to a rare deflection off the glass that ricocheted into an open net.

A faceoff took place at center ice with Montreal’s Nick Suzuki winning it and tipping it over to teammate Cole Caufield.

Caufield did the routine thing and pushed the puck back to his defenseman, David Savard.

Savard wanted to get the puck into Montreal’s offensive zone and lifted the puck into the glass a dozen feet away. Then it hit the plexiglass boards in such a way that it caromed directly into the net.

Predators goaltender Juuse Saros was behind the net he guards, to retrieve the normal trajectory of the puck.

By the time Saros realized he was out of position, it was too late and the puck crossed the goal line.

The whole sequence started after Brendan Gallagher got Montreal on the board, and the bizarre goal completely flipped the momentum of the game.

‘I don’t know exactly how that’s physically possible,’ Predators star Filip Forsberg said, per The Tennessean. ‘For it go straight out and straight in to the net like that.’

Without the bizarre goal, the Canadiens do not pick up a point against the Predators. Instead, they won the game in overtime on a Suzuki marker.
