Whitney Port poses for selfies and has a milkshake during day out in NYC – after shutting down body shamers who slammed her dramatic weight loss

Whitney Port posed for selfies as she documented her trip to New York City this week – weeks after shutting down body shamers who slammed her dramatic weight loss.

The Hills star, 38, who recently said she ‘needs to take a little better care of herself’ amid weight loss concerns, shared a post detailing her time in the Big Apple, with the star having a milkshake, a manicure and going for steak during her break.

The star posed for a mirror selfie in a black top and white trousers, with her tresses worn in soft waves.

She posed up outside a steakhouse in another snap and also shared a shot of a milkshake.

Further snaps showed the star taking off her shoes in the street to apply a plaster to a blister and getting a manicure with her husband Tim Rosenman.

The new snaps come weeks after the reality television personality admitted that she knows she is underweight but it’s ‘not something I strive for.’

And while her social media followers have repeatedly commented on her dramatic weight loss, that rolled off her back.

It wasn’t until her husband Tim Rosenman said something that she took notice.

‘[Tim] said it’s not just something strangers are spewing. He has been worried about me,’ Port said in an Instagram Story on July 31.

‘I always feel hungry but I just don’t know what to eat. It’s not how I want to look or feel though. My excuses are that I’m too lazy to make feeding myself a priority or I’m too picky when it comes to taste and quality.

‘Both are unacceptable and I don’t want to set an unhealthy example so I promised Timmy and I’ll promise you that my health will be a priority.’

The mom of son Sonny, six, took to her Instagram Stories to vent her feelings, saying: ‘Everything was blown a bit out of proportion. I’m a busy mom who just needs to take a little better care of herself and I’m on it.’

‘It was definitely an eye opener. I think that once you see the numbers, like, the numbers can’t lie.

‘And I had no idea I weighed as little as I did,’ the Love, Whit designer admitted on the August 1st episode of her Dear Media podcast With Whit.

‘I’m clearly not eating enough and that how I look right now does not look healthy. It’s not how I want to look. And I think that I complain a lot on here about my lack of energy. And I think that part of that stems from not giving myself what it actually needs.’
