Nestlé has launched a brand new flavour of its Aero chocolate bar, with fans rushing to get their hands on the ‘amazing’ treat.

Popular food news Facebook group Newfoodsuk posted a picture of the new choco-hazelnut flavour Aero bar, which they ‘spotted at their ‘local convenience store’.

The snap of the chocolate bar featured Aero’s traditional packaging with snazzy teal branding to represent the hazelnut.

The treat is available in Sainsbury’s with delighted fans saying it taste like Nutella.

Facebook foodies raced to the comments to show their excitement, and some eagle-eyed sweet-toothed fans had already seen the bar elsewhere.

Others even compared it to Nutella, describing it as ‘amazing’ and another professed: ‘I’m addicted to this’.

Similarly, another Facebook user theorised: ‘Makes me think it’ll taste Nutella-ish’.

And another added: ‘I love them’ and a different user chimed in: ‘I like this one better than the others’.

One user compared the aerated chocolate to a popular stacking crisp: ‘It’s like Pringles, when you start you can’t stop’.

But not everybody was won over: ‘Here come all the animals going off like they have never had or seen anything new in their lives. Sad af’.

Nestle claim the new Aero choco-hazelnut flavour sharing bar ‘brings together Aero’s signature melt-in-your-mouth bubbles and the smooth, nutty flavour of hazelnut, to create a deliciously bubbly symphony’.

Assistant Brand Manager for Aero Michael Kehoe said: ‘We can’t wait to share the heavenly combination of Aero and hazelnut.

‘Aero’s iconic light and airy chocolate bubbles have been loved worldwide for decades, and this new hazelnut flavour takes it to a whole new level.

‘We hope our Aero fans will enjoy the indulgent taste experience of the rich hazelnut flavour whilst feeling the bubbles melt’.

The treat will soon be available at Morrisons – and the 90g bar sells for £1.35.

This comes shortly after the Swiss giant announced it will discontinue two much-loved chocolate bars in a move that will come as a blow to chocoholics across the UK.

While the axing of two fan favourites will be met with sadness by chocolate lovers, the announcement also brings good news.

Nestle confirmed that they are discontinuing two offers in order to be able to bring in a new chocolate bar – meaning hungry customers will still have something to look forward to.

However, the two that are departing from shelves across the UK have been enjoyed as a snack for decades and will be sorely missed.

The two bars being discontinued by Nestle are the Breakaway and Yorkie Biscuit bars, with the former having been launched in 1970.
