In the US state of Virginia, a Walmart was shot at by a man. In this shooting, at least 10 individuals have already died. There was no confirmation of the precise number of fatalities and injuries. Five people were being treated for unidentified injuries at one hospital in the area after the injured were taken there.
A spokeswoman for Sentara Norfolk General Hospital, the leading trauma hospital in the region, confirmed that five individuals were receiving medical care for injuries there.
Over 40 emergency service vehicles flew to the Walmart supercenter on Tuesday night, and a number of people are thought to be critically harmed.
Kosinski stated that the shooter is thought to have acted alone and that the details surrounding the suspect’s demise were not immediately known.
Kosinksi stated that although at least one body was discovered outside, it is thought that the shooting took place inside the store.
The shop was open to customers at the time of the shooting, according to Walmart’s website.
Walmart employee’s statement
After the horrifying attack, a Walmart employee waiting outside the store stated on social media: “It was the manager.” one of the supervisors. The terrified employee continued, “He blew his brains out and everything,” about the shooter.
He did everything—killed the female inside. He entered and began to spray. I feel bad for the victims. I had barely exited the break room when the manager entered and began shooing and capping individuals. We sadly lost a couple of our colleagues. He told the media that the event “was horrific.”
Thank heavens I showed up late, a Walmart worker who arrived for their night job shortly after the shooting told reporters there.

Walmart manager Andre opened fire outside, killing two people—a woman and a man—by shooting them both in the head.
According to media accounts, the mass shooting was carried out by Walmart Night Shift Manager Andre Bing.
As per eyewitness accounts posted on social media, the night manager “exploded” before shooting a woman in the head, killing workers in the break room, and then moving to the grocery department and opening fire.
The manager then committed suicide by shooting himself. Authorities said that the suspect was dead without giving any other details about the person.

Reactions to the mass shooting at Virginia
Following the incident, Louise Lucas, the Virginia state senator, tweeted that she was:
“Absolutely heartbroken.”
She further added:
“I will not rest until we find the solutions to end this gun violence epidemic in our country that has taken so many lives.”

According to the New York Times, Democrat Mark Warner also released a statement about the incident:

As per a tweet by the City of Chesapeake, a reunification site has been organized primarily for the immediate family members of the victims.

Police confirm that the fatalities of the Walmart mass shooting include the gunman
While authorities have yet to release a specific count of the people killed in the shooting, at the time of writing this article, there were reportedly fewer than 10 deaths. In an official tweet, the Chesapeake police confirmed that the gunman was among the deceased.
Many of the injured victims were taken to the Norfolk General Hospital in Virginia.

In a news conference, Leo Kosinski, a spokesperson for the Chesapeake Police Department, stated that by the time the emergency vehicles reached the Walmart store, the shooting had stopped:
“Over the course of the next 30-40 minutes, we were able to find multiple fatalities and multiple injured parties.”
Police have not yet concluded whether the Walmart gunman died by suicide, or was shot by someone else in the store. During the conference, Kosinski also said that responding officers did not need to open fire, as per his knowledge.
Speaking about hiding spots at the store, Kosinski said,
“People could get scared, they could be hiding. We want to make sure that everyone is accounted for.”
