Macie Hill was heavily injured after being hit by a Hummer vehicle while performing at the parade. Still, she couldn’t make it even though she was rushed to the hospital immediately after the accident.
She was performing with the Patriot Cheer team when struck by a large Hummer vehicle. The march was promptly terminated, and those present were instructed to leave.
One of the attendees at the parade, Shawna Dennis, who saw the whole incident happen in front of her eyes, was traumatized by accident. “immediately, like, I’m in shock, it was horrific, I’ve never seen anything like that in my life.” Shawna described to the police. She said Macie was lying on the ground, and the trailer ran over her.
But within a matter of minutes, after she was taken to the hospital, she was declared dead. Before it, a guy called Robert Crimo was arrested as a possible suspect in the Highland shooting, in which six people were killed.

And to no surprise, many people have already donated their generous amount to the cause. As of July 5, it has raised a total of $57,257, topping the estimated goal of fifty thousand dollars.
The highest donation made by a single individual is $3000, but the name was not revealed, and altogether 1.060 people have donated to date. The organizer of this fundraiser, Jennie Dopp, thanked all the donors for outpouring their support and love for Macie and her family.
The collected money will support the family and pay for Macie’s funeral. In addition, her medical facility charges and a headstone will also be taken care of by the donation money. It does not provide relief to their parents but is definitely a financial reassurance.
