In the interviews he had given then, he always mentioned he was more excited to take up the challenge and go to the field healing after the injury. He never talked about his retirement. Hence, we can expect that the tennis legend is thinking of returning after his recovery.

Even though he might lose the battle of highest Grand Slam, Federer can take it as a real sportsman and cheer up for his fellow tennis veteran. However, we will have to wait for some more time to see what follows.
