His appearances in The Nutcracker, Sleeping Beauty, and Romeo and Juliet had earned him worldwide renown as well.

Artyom Datsishin has died sustaining serious injuries after the shelling attack. He had been in hospital fighting for his life for almost three weeks.

The ballet dancer was wounded in the capital of Kyiv on February 26, 2022,  just two days after the Russian invasion had started.

As notified by his close friends and family members, his funeral is going to be held in Kyiv today.

Meanwhile, Datsishin’s death was from Russian fire has provoked anger from the Russian choreographer Alexei Ratmansky.

Their former director of the Bolshoi Ballet has written: “I am furious,” he said, adding that Datsishin’s death at the hands of Russian invaders provoked “unbearable pain”.

“Artyom Datsishin, a principal dancer with the National Opera House of Ukraine, died today in the Kyiv hospital from wounds received on February 26 when he got under Russian artillery fire.”

“He was a beautiful dancer loved by his colleagues. Unbearable pain.”

Many people have come forward to pay respect to Artyom Datsishin on Twitter, who died as a result of the terrible shelling strike.

Meanwhile, some people have been looking for the video of the shelling strike, which appears to have been taken down from Twitter.

One of his admirers, Graham Watts has written on Twitter: “Very sad news via Alexei Ratmansky – Artyom Datsishin, a principal dancer with National Opera House of Ukraine died today in the Kyiv hospital from wounds received from Russian Artillery fire on February 26”

Tatiana Borovik, one of Datsishin’s coworkers, also wrote on Facebook: “Farewell my dear man!! I can’t express my heartache that is overwhelming me! May your memory be bright”.

Artyom Datsishin’s Wikipedia And Theatre Career

Artyom Datsishin is noted for his scholarly expressiveness, amorous exhilaration, and psychological depth, and he deserves to be on Wikipedia.

He was only 43 years old when he died, having been born in the year 1979.

Datsishin had performed in Europe and the United States. Swan Lake, Giselle, The Nutcracker, Sleeping Beauty, and Romeo and Juliet have all featured him as a leading man.

The renowned dancer was a main dancer at Ukraine’s National Opera House.

In the meantime, no information about his wife or children has surfaced in the media.
