IShowSpeed was ecstatic as he met Erling Haaland at the Ballon d’Or ceremony in France on Monday evening.

The internet star was one of the first celebrities to arrive on the red carpet just after 6pm GMT, posing with Darren Jason Watkins Jr. with his enthusiasm to be at the event clear to see.

Haaland arrived not long after with his partner Isabel Haugseng Johansen and other Manchester City players, including Bernardo Silva, Julian Alvarez, Ruben Dias and Ederson.

Speed is supposedly a Manchester United fan, but was keen to meet Haaland with the two engaging in a few jokes about each others’ appearances before separating.

Haaland is a known fan of online sports content creators and has previously filmed with the likes of the Sidemen.

‘Let’s go, brother!’ he said as the pair shook hands, to which Haaland responded: ‘How are you my friend?’

‘Nice to meet you finally bro!’ Speed replied.

Haaland quickly changed the tune of the conversation, however, assessing Speed’s outfit choice.

‘What’s with the shoes, man?’ he said, with Speed replying: ‘What’s up with your hair bro?’

‘It’s nice,’ Haaland responded. ‘You don’t like it?’

The two then took a photo and said their goodbyes, with Speed chanting the Manchester City forward’s name as he walked away.

Haaland finished second in the Ballon d’Or rankings on Monday, after Lionel Messi clinched his eighth title.

Before moving to Inter Miami in the summer, the 36-year-old masterminded Argentina’s victory in Qatar, scoring twice during the final, while also finding the back of the net during a penalty shoot-out, to help the team defeat 2018 winners France.

He also scored a whopping 32 goals in 55 games across all competitions for PSG, to help the side clinch the Ligue 1 title.

David Beckham, the co-owner of Inter Miami, presented him with the coveted award at the Theatre du Chatelet in Paris, to a standing ovation from members of the crowd.
