Journey: Malin Andersson showed off her weight loss as she celebrated her health milestone in her latest Instagram post on Friday

She penned her post: ‘ONE WHOLE YEAR OF… Working on my internal healing so I can be the best version of me – for Xaya too (let’s cut the generational trauma here!).

‘Fuelling my body with nutritious foods but acquiring balance as to not trigger any ED habits – NO RESTRICTING OR DIETS.

‘Reducing alcohol intake so I can live life fully each day with a clear head and have optimum energy, better skin and no hangovers.

‘Exercising but finding LOVE in strength training and ENJOYING it.

‘Removing TOXIC people so my energy is used wisely – not on others but MYSELF. No more dishing out love to the wrong people. Love to myself, thanks!

‘THIS IS YOUR SIGN TO: make change in a positive HEALTHY way if that’s what you need and want – but to embrace EVERY moment of your journey because that’s what got you here to this very moment.’

‘IT STARTS FROM WITHIN!!!! And your body will follow your vibrant mind,’ she concluded.

The mental health advocate kept her journey no secret since the birth of her daughter Xaya, 17 months, hoping to inspire others, and shared plenty of content with her followers throughout time.

Swimsuit-clad:  But Malin took to Instagram earlier last month to continue debunking rumours that she lost weight quickly as she insisted that quick fixes don’t work

It’s all about the mindset: The Love Island star explained her weight loss is a transformation of her mind

The reality star proudly showed off her toned figure in an Instagram snap back in April – as she reflected on how her ‘inner strength’ overcoming a 15-year eating disorder is showing on the outside.

Yet the Love Island star has been under scrutiny regarding how quickly she lost weight, with some accusing her of doing a few ‘fixes’ to speed up the proces

But Malin took to Instagram earlier last month to continue debunking rumours that she lost weight quickly as she insisted that quick fixes don’t work.

The Love Island star turned mental health advocate acknowledged that we all want quick fixes but for her the most important thing is taking her time with everything.

She confessed that the change in her body has actually just been a transformation of her mind.

She said: ‘It all ties in your mind, your body and your soul, and you can work on one but the other two are still not gonna be fixed.

‘It’s not just like I woke up and I was like “I’m gonna go to the gym,” it was me wanting to go for walks first, wanting to actually move my body to feel better.’

‘It was me just wanting to feel different mentally so this has just been a symptom of a changing mindset and not wanting to feel sluggish or down anymore,’ continued the star.

Malin says she gets frequent messages asking ‘How do you do this in this time frame?’ or ‘How long did it take you?’ but the mother-of-one explained that her journey started after her daughter Xaya was born a year and a half ago.

‘Nothing is quick in life, and if it is it means that you haven’t done it properly,’ she said.

Focusing on the topic of mental health, the author of Positivity Is Our Superpower said that now when she experiences a trigger to her mental health she no longer blocks her emotions.

I literally listen to them, feel the feeling and do something about it.

Beautiful in both: It was after the birth of her daughter Xaya when Malin decided she wanted to move her body more and stop feeling sluggish or down (apictured left in 2022)

Whether that’s meditating on it, journaling about it, speaking to someone about it and understanding why I am feeling that way.’

Malin also spoke to her fans about the importance of self-validation and how important it is to change your mindset because you want to, not for someone else or an ex.

Malin finished her motivational speech by reassuring her followers that ‘Everything is a journey, take your time with it all, embrace what’s going on right now cause you’re going to miss it.

Enjoy the process and understand that change requires patience and listening to your body, listening to yourself and feeding your soul with what is good for you.’
