Let’s find out “Who Is Daniel Palmer From West Virginia?” Wanda Palmer was allegedly attacked by Daniel Palmer III, 55, of Cottageville, West Virginia, in June 2020 and was left unconscious for two years.

He was accused of intentionally inflicting harm and attempted murder. On June 10, 2020, neighbors found Wanda unconscious and suffering from severe head injuries at her Flatwoods Road residence.

Responding officers found the man slumped over on the couch and badly hurt, according to a criminal complaint filed in Jackson County Magistrate Court.

Who Is Daniel Palmer From West Virginia?

Daniel Palmer, 55, has been charged with attempted murder and malicious harm after allegedly stabbing his 51-year-old sister Wanda with a machete. In June 2020, Wanda was found at her home outside Cottageville, unconscious, covered in blood, and suffering from a severe head injury.

To the surprise of the detectives at the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office, Wanda’s nursing home called to tell them she was awake and speaking. Her brother had been a subject of interest throughout the investigation, but police said there was insufficient evidence to support an arrest.

This is about as unusual as it gets in the eyes of an investigator. “I believe it’s a fantastic monument to the fortitude and heroism of the victim herself,” Sheriff Ross Mellenger told FOX. In a January 2019 Facebook post, Wanda referred to the reportedly tricky relationship between her and her brother.

She wrote, “My brother Daniel, why did you trespass on my mobile home and ruin things you have no right to? I give you him to handle.

Wanda was assaulted and put into a coma, and investigators had a theory about what happened before that, but according to Mellenger, there wasn’t enough evidence to warrant an arrest. There were no eyewitnesses, and no one was residing in residence, no surveillance footage, and no telephone records, he claimed, according to MetroNews.

Wanda Palmer Brother Attacked Her Which Led To Coma

On June 10, 2020, Wanda Palmer was discovered by neighbors at her Flatwoods Roadhouse, where she had suffered severe head injuries. Upon arrival, officers discovered Palmer slumped down on her couch, unconscious and badly hurt, according to a criminal complaint submitted to Jackson County Magistrate Court.

Mellinger added that investigators had not found the weapon.

According to court records, the sister and brother had a “violent history,” and early on in the investigation, Daniel Palmer was named as a suspect. However, until the victim statement called her brother the alleged attacker, investigators did not have enough evidence to proceed with filing charges.

Daniel was interviewed by detectives, according to the court filings. He maintained he had not been to his sister’s house in days and denied involvement in the crime, but a witness claimed to have seen him in Wanda’s front entryway at midnight on the night she was assaulted.

Is He Arrested?

The sheriff said that authorities had not yet placed the handgun. According to court documents, the twins had a “violent history,” and Daniel Palmer was designated as a suspect at the opening of the investigation. However, there wasn’t enough evidence to point the finger at him until his sister identified him as the accused perpetrator.

During an interview, Daniel reportedly issued detectives a press release in which he denied involvement and said he hadn’t visited his sister’s residence in several days. However, on the night Wanda was abused, a witness saw him standing at Wanda’s house’s front door.

On June 27, a deputy finally received a name from Wanda’s adult protective services agency, informing them that she had started to speak and appeared to answer a question accurately.

On July 12, two deputies visited the nursing home in New Martinsville. One deputy mentioned Wanda’s memories of living in her trailer close to her mother’s house and suffering harm there.

Before mentioning that she identified her brother Daniel as the aggressor, the deputy referred to “her head” in the legal complaint. When Wanda was asked why Daniel assaulted her as “stated in the complaint,” she reacted that he “was nasty.”

Daniel was in jail on Friday morning, but it appears to have taken hours to convince him to adjust and show up earlier than a Justice of the Peace. The Justice of the Peace wanted to physically travel to the sheriff’s office to perform the arraignment because of the suspect’s combative tactics. His bond was set at $500K, and he was moved to the South Central Regional Jail, according to Fox 11.
