Sad details have emerged surrounding the death of Extreme Weight Loss star Brandi Mallory at 40.

The reality star appeared to have died in a rather bizarre way as TMZ obtained a police report which revealed that she had passed away in her car in a parking lot after picking up food at Chipotle.

According to the documents from the Atlanta Police Department, Brandi was last seen alive picking up food from the fast food chain which serves Mexican food.

No official cause of death has been revealed.

The report also noted that her vehicle had been seen in the parking lot of the strip mall early on Thursday, November 9 which was noticed by a nearby deli owner.

The deli owner told law enforcement that he had seen a female who he had believed to be asleep behind the wheel but quickly realized that he had spotted the car there much later in the day, leading the person to believe that something was wrong.

Law enforcement came later to find the Extreme Weight Loss star dead in the vehicle.

TMZ also reports that the document said police had reviewed the surveillance footage which showed Brandi parking around 5:53PM before going into Chipotle, coming out with her order, and then going into her vehicle but never coming out.

The police also noted that there were no signs of foul play, that her cause of death is still currently under investigation, and that there is no evidence that her food at Chipotle had anything to do with her death.

Earlier this week it was first reported that the Extreme Weight Loss star had passed away at just the age of 40.

The television star’s death was confirmed to People on Tuesday by a representative for the Fulton County Medical Examiner’s Office.

She reportedly passed away on Thursday, November 9 in Stone Mountain, Georgia.

Mallory – who was a make-up artist – had appeared on season four of the reality series which aired in 2014.

Fellow Extreme Weight Loss contestant from season 5 Kim Williams Maxile paid tribute to her friend with an Instagram post on November 9.

She shared sweet videos of one of their hangouts together with the message: ‘[hearts intertwined emoji] Rest in Love sis.

‘To my fellow Extreme Weight Loss @extweightloss sis, @brandimallory you will be missed. I’ll never forget while I was at boot camp for season 5 we watched your season and it inspired us to keep going.

‘Your episode was my favorite because we had so much in common from pageants to being a makeup artist and just a love of life. When my episode aired a year later you reached out and even though we never met in person (at that moment) you and I became sisters as only a small group of us know what life was like on the show and life after the show.’

After appearing on the show the Extreme Weight Loss alums got together and became quick friends.

Maxile continued: ‘ We finally met in person a few years later when you came to spend time with me in Cali and it was like we’ve known each other our whole life! Girl, I enjoyed our weekend and we just stayed up for 3 days talking about everything. We laughed we cried, we created a project together and I knew we’d be sisters for life.

‘You truly made an impact on this world with your zest and your passion for body positivity.’

She wrapped up in writing, ‘I’m blessed to have gotten to experienced you in this world. Love you so much sis.’

Back in 2018, Mallory was interviewed by Atlanta journalist Kirby Carroll in a clip posted on YouTube at the time.

In it, she revealed that the death of one of her sorority sisters at the age of 29 had been what motivated her to lose weight.

She explained: ‘I was literally waking up every day like… this may be my last day waking up, like, I don’t know what’s going to happen for me.

‘When it’s playing on your mind that I might need to do something about my weight, because I’m afraid I might die too, then you might need to pay attention to something like that.’

She also revealed in the interview that she weighed around 329 pounds at her heaviest.

Also in 2018, Mallory said that she wound up on the ABC series after initially trying to get on the NBC series The Biggest Loser.

‘I saw an ad for Biggest Loser on a commercial; they had just left Atlanta, their last stop was in Cleveland,’ Mallory told the outlet Rare in 2018, according to the New York Post. ‘I booked a ticket and I didn’t get picked for Biggest Loser but they forwarded my information to Extreme.’

Mallory said that reps from Extreme Weight Loss contacted her, and she has followed her spiritual path ever since.

‘Literally, every footstep since then has been God,’ Mallory said. ‘I prayed over that application before I sent it off. I prayed every step of the way.’

When she wrapped the show, Brandi weighed in at 178.

According to her obituary, her funeral will take place on Monday, November 20 in Georgia.
