Italy have arrived at Luton Airport on Saturday ahead of their Euro 2020 final against England.

The Italians will take on the hosts England in the European Championship final at Wembley on Sunday.

Roberto Mancini’s side were decked out in black clothes with smart grey blazers as they touched down on English soil.

Mancini greeted the welcome party, followed by his close friend and official head of the delegation Gianluca Vialli.

Captain and inspiring centre half Giorgio Chiellini and Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Marco Verratti were close behind.

Stricken left-back Leonardo Spinazzola, who was one of the players of the tournament before unfortunately rupturing his Achilles in the quarter-final win against Belgium, was also there on crutches to support his team-mates.

The Azzurri were taken to penalties against Spain in their semi-final, eventually triumphing 4-2 on spot-kicks, but have had an extra day to recover than England.

Mancini’s side have been consistently impressive in the competition, only conceding three goals, with defenders Chiellini (36) and Bonucci (34), midfielders Verratti and Jorginho, plus wingers Lorenzo Insigne and Federico Chiesa likely to be key players.

They will hope to build on their sole victory in the tournament, which came against Yugoslavia back in 1968 in Rome in the era of Dino Zoff and Giacinto Facchetti.
