Luke Littler continues to meet his own sporting heroes after going behind the scenes at his beloved Rugby League team, the Warrington Wolves.

The 16-year-old darts prodigy has been enjoying his newfound stardom after finishing shock runner-up at the recent PDC world championship and is continuing to build relationships with other sports stars.

Originally from Warrington, Littler – like many locals  – is an avid follower of the Wolves and was invited to meet his boyhood team at their home on Friday.

After becoming the youngest-ever player to reach a world championship darts final, Littler captured the sporting world’s attention and has seen his fame rise to new levels after the tournament.

He is already a self-confessed Manchester United supporter and has given his views on the club’s struggles this season but is perhaps an even bigger Warrington fan.

Littler was invited to tour the club’s facilities at the club’s Halliwell Jones Stadium and meet players who appeared just as delighted to meet the darts superstar.

Warrington Wolves players, Josh Thewlis and Matty Ashton had previously cheered Littler on at Alexandra Palace and were present again as the youngster swapped the board for the turf.

Littler watched a training session alongside Wolves boss Sam Burgess and beamed as he posed for photos with the players afterwards.

He usually watches home games from the club’s south stand, but may have to watch future matches on television as Littler looks to build on his emergence as a potential future world darts champion.

Trips to Bahrain for the Masters tournament and a later visit to the Netherlands awaits Littler this month.

The teenager secured a £200,000 payday after being beaten by eventual world champion Luke Humphries in the final and has been the focus of intense fanfare since the event of the event.

Littler also appeared on Sky Sports to discuss his love for Man United and explained he has even been in conversation with David Beckham.
