‘It would be my honour to beat your a**’: Jarrell Miller calls out Tyson Fury and labels himself ‘the best and biggest option’ for the Gypsy King, as the American eyes another title fight after missing out against Anthony Joshua due to a failed drugs test

  • Tyson Fury has been linked with a number of high-profile fights in recent weeks
  • The boxer recently confirmed he was back in talks with Anthony Joshua
  • He has now been called out by unbeaten American heavyweight Jarrell Miller

Jarrell Miller has called out Tyson Fury and claimed he is the ‘best and biggest option’ for the world heavyweight champion.

Fury has been linked with a number of high-profile fights in the past few weeks, and recently confirmed he is in talks with Anthony Joshua, although Eddie Hearn denied his claims that a draft contract had been sent.

With a unification fight against Oleksansdr Usyk seemingly off the cards for the time being as the Ukrainian prepares to fight Daniel Dubois in August, the Gypsy King has also been linked with Australian boxers Demsey McKean and Jai Opetaia.

Fury has claimed he would fight UFC legend Jon Jones, but only in a fight with boxing rules because ‘I don’t roll round the floor’.

Miller has now thrown his hat into the ring, as he said in a video posted on Twitter: ‘Listen, let’s tell my boy the Gypsy King AKA Tyson Fury, I heard your looking for an opponent.

‘Let’s cut the s***, You know who the best, and biggest option is, and it’s your boy right here. Your people call my people, work on the dollar signs and we get it cracking.

‘Gypsy King vs Big Baby, it’s got a nice ring to it. It’d by my official honour to beat your a**. Let’s make it happen.’

Fury gave a cryptic response to the video, tweeting three thinking emojis. It seems the 34-year-old is either bemused by the call-out, or is genuinely considering the fight.

If it was to take place, the Fury fight would be a chance for Miller to make amends for his first shot at the world heavyweight title.

He was supposed to fight Anthony Joshua at Madison Square Gardens in 2019, but was denied a license for the bout after failing a drugs test.

Andy Ruiz fought in his place, and pulled off one of the great heists in boxing history as he beat Joshua and became the WBA, IBF, WBO, and IBO heavyweight world champion.

Miller was banned for six months by the WBA after the positive test and fought for the first time in almost four years last June.

The American has fought three bouts since his return, winning all three, and remains unbeaten as a professional boxing with 26 wins and a draw from his 27 fights.
