Marcus Rashford driven out of training days after the Manchester United star crashed his £700,000 Rolls-Royce

Marcus Rashford was driven out of Manchester United training on Friday after he crashed his £700,000 Rolls-Royce last weekend.

The forward was pictured in the passenger seat of a £50,000 white Audi RS3 as he left United’s Carrington training complex the day before their Premier League fixture with Crystal Palace.

Rashford has been in training all week despite being shaken in the late night accident outside Carrington following Saturday night’s 1-0 win at Burnley.

Erik ten Hag fears players are being OVERLOADED amid hectic fixture lists

Erik ten Hag has weighed into the debate over a fixture pile-up in football and says it’s unfair to overload the players.

United have suffered a crippling injury list in recent weeks with no fewer than 16 players out of action since pre-season.

Lisandro Martinez has become the latest addition after aggravating the foot injury which kept him out for two months at the end of last season.

Lisandro Martinez injury update…

That’s all from the manager!

Erik ten Hag has finished his press conference.

Ten Hag on player development

“You’ve seen already, when you develop players you see the progress and that can help you in tough situations, it’s good for the club to develop such players and to get them into professional football and professional top football. I like to develop young players but the mentality has to be right and every time you have to prove it and every occasion in training and show it in the games.”

Ten Hag on youngsters in the team

“Depends on their performances, on their levels, if they can show they can contribute to winning team, based on the opportunity and you win games.”

Ten Hag on Sancho

“Many of you ask me this so often, these questions, and I have said everything. I said everything.”

Ten Hag on when Antony will return

“On Saturday, he will be back in training, so tomorrow. I have to see, but I think, yeah [he’s fit].”

Ten Hag on injuries

“We already did, we already expanded the squad this season because we make the reason clear. We had a World Cup in the middle of the season, we had a longer season, we had to play a longer season as well, with FA Cup. A shorter break. Every time the schedule is expanding, the load on the players is too much, it’s such a great overload. Many colleagues of mine have pointed to that and I have pointed to that as well. But it keeps going. We keep expanding the schedule. Anywhere, it won’t stop. Players can’t deal anymore with this overload and I think that’s what you say in this squad at the moment.

Ten Hag gives team news update

“We have seen some players back on Tuesday and for tomorrow are back players out of the squad on Tuesday: Scott McTominay and Christian Eriksen. They are back.”

Ten Hag on Antony

“We make the statement so I refer to the statement, everything has been made clear in the statement. No, I don’t think it’s a distinction. We will focus on the games. He will do as well.”

Ten Hag set to meet the media…

The Manchester United boss is preparing to sit down for his pre-match press conference, ahead of their clash with Crystal Palace this weekend.

Lisandro Martinez and Sergio Reguilon ruled out of Manchester United’s Premier League clash against Crystal Palace

Lisandro Martinez is set for a spell on the sidelines after aggravating a foot injury he first suffered at the end of last season.

The Argentinian defender was forced off during Manchester United’s 3-1 defeat to Arsenal earlier this month.

Sergio Reguilon will also miss this weekend’s Premier League fixture against Crystal Palace at Old Trafford.

Ex-Man United star Daley Blind backs Dutch team-mate Donny Van de Beek to succeed at Old Trafford

Ex-Manchester United defender Daley Blind has backed Donny Van de Beek to succeed at Old Trafford despite struggling since moving to the club from Ajax in 2020.

Blind departed Man United two years before Van de Beek’s big move and was a teammate of his at Ajax, where the midfielder was the crown in Erik ten Hag’s side.

However, he has failed to live up to his promise so far at Old Trafford and saw a late move away from the club fall through this summer.

Javier Hernandez claims Sir Alex Ferguson’s success at Man United came from knowing his players ‘authentically’

Javier Hernandez revealed what he believes to be the key to Sir Alex Ferguson ‘s unprecedented success at Manchester United .

The LA Galaxy star had been making waves at Guadalajara in his native Mexico when United’s then chief scout Jim Lawlor travelled to watch him play in October 2009 and recommended the club sign the striker.

Gary Neville says a Qatar-owned Man United ‘would be under greater scrutiny’ than state-funded Newcastle and Man City

Gary Neville has claimed that Manchester United would be under greater scrutiny than either Newcastle or Manchester City if the club was sold to Qatari bidder Sheikh Jassim in a new interview.

The club, which is currently owned by the American Glazer family, was put up for sale in November, with the two front-runners – Sheikh Jassim and British billionaire Sir Jim Ratcliffe – both submitting offers for a total takeover at Old Trafford in the region of £5billion.

However, the process has since stalled, and Mail Sport reported in September that the Joel and Avram Glazer, who head up the ownership, were set to take the club off the market.

Breaking: Antony will return to Man United training and be available for selection, despite domestic abuse allegations

Manchester United winger Antony is returning to training and will be available for selection again, the club have announced.

United placed the Brazil star on fully-paid leave earlier this month so he could focus on clearing his name after denying accusations by three women that he attacked them.

Antony returned to the UK on Tuesday night after confirming with police in Sao Paulo that he was permitted to leave Brazil, and then voluntarily met with Greater Manchester Police on Thursday.

Man United and Chelsea ‘have sent scouts to watch £43m-rated Brazilian wonderkid Lorran

Manchester United and Chelsea have reportedly been keeping tabs on Flamengo youngster Lorran.

Both clubs have made a poor start to the season and it seems they are looking at how how they can strengthen their squads, despite the window having closed just weeks ago.

One player who has caught their eye is attacking midfielder Lorran, who has impressed since breaking into the Flamengo first-team.

‘Angry and frustrated’ Cristiano Ronaldo ‘needed to adapt’ to Man United team-mates, says Gary Neville

Gary Neville has claimed that Cristiano Ronaldo failure to ‘adapt’ during his second stint at Manchester United lead to his inevitable exit.

Ronaldo’s return to the Red Devils ended in disaster after his public falling out with manager Erik ten Hag, following his stunning tell-all interview with Piers Morgan.

Tensions initially rose after the five-time Ballon d’Or winner refused to come off the bench and, instead, walked down the tunnel during their 2-0 win over Tottenham.

Manchester United’s key areas of focus for the next five games before taking on Man City

Back to back wins have, at least temporarily, cleared the gathering black cloud that was beginning to hang over Manchester United.

A 1-0 win at Burnley was followed up by a comfortable 3-0 Carabao Cup win over Crystal Palace – a display labelled Manchester United’s best performance of the season by Gary Neville.

While it would be remiss of Erik ten Hag or his players to look too far ahead given another defeat this weekend would have them back teetering on the edge, they now face a crucial five-game run before they take on Pep Guardiola’s City in a Manchester derby.

Jadon Sancho is ‘overestimating his importance’ to Man United by refusing to apologise to Erik ten Hag, says Berbatov

Former Manchester United star Dimitar Berbatov has become the latest club luminary to call upon Jadon Sancho to apologise to Erik ten Hag after their bombshell falling out, claiming that the young winger is ‘overestimating his importance’.

The 23-year-old lit the touchpaper on a growing discontentment between player and coach as he told his social media followers ‘don’t believe everything you read’ in response to Ten Hag’s suggestion that Sancho had not been named to the squad to face Arsenal due to ‘performances in training’.

The former Borussia Dortmund player claimed that his manager’s verdict was ‘completely untrue’ and that he was being made a ‘scapegoat’, and in response, Ten Hag has not only frozen the player out of his side but banned him from using first-team facilities.
