The girlfriend of US tennis star Taylor Fritz has opened up on her ‘scary’ experience at the Super Bowl after being ‘groped’ and ‘harassed’ by male NFL fans.

Morgan Riddle – who has dated world No 9 Fritz for four years – was in Las Vegas this weekend with some friends to watch the Kansas City Chiefs claim a thrilling 25-22 victory over the San Francisco 49ers at Super Bowl LVIII on Sunday night.

Yet despite enjoying both the game and the halftime show – headlined by R&B star Usher – the American influencer revealed that she had an ‘extremely stressful’ time at Allegiant Stadium after being harassed by a number of ‘drunk’ male fans.

Riddle detailed her traumatic ordeal on Instagram after Sunday’s game, admitting it caused her to have a panic attack in the restroom during the third quarter after she was ‘grabbed and groped’ by other spectators.

‘Wasn’t going to post about this but I actually think it’s important to,’ she wrote. ‘I can’t believe the levels of harassment we dealt with this weekend from men.

‘In the last 3 days I’ve been grabbed, gropped (sic), harassed, cat called incessantly – basically every few minutes when we were out in public. And it was really bad at the game today.

‘We couldn’t even enjoy the game without getting bothered by drunk, rude, gross male fans. It’s extremely stressful and scary.’

Riddle also recalled a father using his son as a ‘vehicle’ in an attempt to hit on her and her friends at Allegiant Stadium.

She captioned a video which shows her crying in the restroom: ‘There was a father at the game with his son who looked about 10 years old. He used his kid as a vehicle to try to hit on us – and his own son, a child, turned to him and said “dad, what are you doing?” how do you think little boys become obnoxious men?

‘I have male sports fans who follow me and luckily I’ve never experienced something like this with tennis but I just hope any guy reading this understands the gravity of your words and actions. We’re all just there to try and watch a football game’.

‘Getting grabbed by grown men is scary and insensitive’.

Riddle returned to her seat in the fourth quarter as Kansas City became the first team to retain the Super Bowl for almost two decades in Vegas, where they prevailed thanks to Mecole Hardman Jnr’s game-winning touchdown in the final three seconds of overtime.

The likes of Travis Kelce, Taylor Swift, Jason Kelce and Patrick Mahomes then headed to a Vegas nightclub to celebrate the Chiefs’ victory.

Riddle, who has been dubbed as the ‘first lady of tennis’ thanks to her very glamorous courtside appearances, was also recently forced to defend herself after being accused of ‘overdressing’ at the Australian Open.

‘I don’t believe you can be overdressed for anything,’ the influencer told Harper’s BAZAAR Australia.

‘No matter where you’re going, overdressing is just a social construct and I prefer to ignore those.’

Riddle was born in Poland but grew up in Minnesota before moving to Los Angeles.

She graduated from New York City’s Wagner College with a Bachelor’s Degree in English Language and Literature in 2019 and then went on to work as a social media director for a fashion brand.
