Reports were that his chemotherapy treatment did not have the expected effect, but his daughter Kelly assured him there was “no emergency.”

Pelé, who stuck to the hearts of sports fans, was in the prayers of everyone who played soccer. In fact, FIFA manifested itself with an impressive tribute during the Qatar 2022 World Cup, in which more than a hundred drones drew his shirt over the city of Doha.

Now, many messages through social networks have lamented this fact. A variety of players and fans have expressed on social media how they feel about firing this star of the sport.

Pele Has Had Some Health Concerns Over The Years

Pele has had some health issues over time. In 1977, Brazilian media reported that he had his right kidney removed. Later, in 2012, he underwent a successful hip operation.

In 2019, Pele suffered a urinary tract infection and underwent surgery to remove kidney stones.

In September 2021, Pele underwent another surgery to remove a tumor on his colon’s right side.

Although his daughter Kelly said he was “doing well,” he was told to be readmitted to intensive care a few days later before being released on September 30 to start chemotherapy.

In his autobiography, he wrote that he or his friends had no idea what the name meant. The name is also thought to mean “miracle” in Hebrew but has no meaning in local Portuguese.

Pele grew up poor in Bauru in São Paulo and made extra money by working as a servant in tea shops.

His dad taught him to play football, but he usually played with a sock stuffed with newspaper because he could not afford a proper ball.
